Day I — Introduction and Definition of Light
“But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.”
A short clip from the New Year’s Message is available on the Pastor Chris Digital Library and on KingsChat. Take a few minutes to watch the video excerpt.
“The simplest and best definition of light comes from the Bible,” the man of God, Pastor Chris, shared at the New Year’s Eve Service.
Pastor Chris defines light from the Bible with two scriptures:
Psalm 119:105 — “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” The Word of God is light!
Ephesians 5:13 — “But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.”
To make manifest is to make something clear or obvious to the eye or mind. As such, light:
makes obvious or apparent
makes clear or plain
Meditate and Memorize
“This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there’s not a trace of darkness in him.”
(1 John 1:5 TLB)
“Jesus answered, neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
(John 9:3-5 KJV)
“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.”
(Matthew 5:14 KJV)
““Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”
(Matthew 5:14-16 MSG)
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
(Psalm 119:105 KJV)
“But when anything is exposed and reproved by the light, it is made visible and clear; and where everything is visible and clear there is light.”
(Ephesians 5:13 AMPC)
I am born of God. God is light; therefore, I am light. In God, there is no darkness; therefore, in me, there is no darkness.
The Word of God is light, and I am God’s offspring through the Word. God’s Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path; I do not walk in darkness.
I am that which makes manifest. Everywhere I go, I reveal truth, I make divine verities obvious and apparent to the eyes and mind of those I come in contact with. My words enlighten and make the message of salvation clear and plain. I am an effective minister of the Gospel!
I am conscious of my divine heritage and purpose on earth. I redeem the time, working while it is yet day. I make the works of God manifest in the lives of those in my sphere of contact.
As long as I am in that school (or business, or company, or neighborhood), darkness cannot prevail.
No matter how gross the darkness becomes, I am the light of the world. I am set on the hilltop, and I am unashamed to blaze brightly for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Write the thoughts and ideas inspired in your heart by the Holy Ghost through today’s mediation session.
“We’re entering into a new phase of the Church’s ministry in the earth…a dimension of the glory of God in the earth beyond what the Church had known.”
— Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome
The seven-fold blessings of ‘the Year of the Supernatural’ caused LoveWorld citizens to transcend the calendar of men by accomplishing the results of ten years in one. However, the glory of 2018 is to be eclipsed by 2019, ‘the Year of LIGHTS’; we have been launched into a new season of greater glory.
Conscious that the New Year Message is more than just a slogan, we are accustomed to the important meditation that is required to make the word for the year a reality in our lives. In 2016, the first edition of ‘8 Days of Meditation’ exposed brethren around the world to a unique study plan designed to cause the word to sink deep into our spirits.
This year’s mediation guide is intended to help us make our way prosperous in this year by doing as Joshua 1:8 instructs. The time to cause our hearts, minds and tongues to be synchronized in agreement with God’s Word concerning 2019 is now. Starting on Sunday, January 13th, and concluding on Sunday, January 20th, we will be spending 15-30 minutes each day to do the following:
Listen. Excerpts from the New Year Message will be made available on PCDL, LoveWorld News and the PCDL Superuser account every day; listen again and again.
Review. Go over important points from the topic of the day.
Meditate and Memorize. Meditate on scriptures connected to the topic of the day and memorize some.
Affirmations. Declare faith-filled words in consonance with the message of the year.
Journal. Write down inspirations from the Spirit of God received during meditation.
The following are some important resources to have available during ‘8 Days of Meditation’:
‘The Year of LIGHTS’ Message. Now available on the Pastor Chris Digital Library ( HYPERLINK “http://pcdl.co/” http://pcdl.co/) platform in audio and video.
Rhapsody of Realities Devotional Study Bible. For meditation on the scriptures.

This year’s special luminary edition also involves a Group Study Challenge. To participate, cells and individuals are expected to take 8 Days of Meditation to offices, malls, restaurants and schools through KingsChat Groups. Participants should also post impact reports on KingsChat with #8DOMgroupstudy, #country, #zone. The winning group win several attracted prizes.
